Saddle

The saddle, entirely covered in feathers, brings together the worlds of equestrian culture, physicality, and ornament. An object designed for contact between human and animal loses its original function and is transformed into an almost living, organic form. The softness of the feathers contrasts with the rigid structure of the saddle, creating a tension between domestication and wildness, utility and fetish.
