Raven

2026

Edition: 1/6 – green

The raven has long stood on the boundary between the real and the supernatural. It is a symbol of magic, mystery, death, and transformation, but also of intelligence, loyalty, and messages arriving from places beyond human sight.

The raven sculpture grows out of a fascination with the bird’s dark symbolism and with literary stories in which it takes on an almost magical power. It refers to the fairy tale The Seven Ravens, where curse, sacrifice, and perseverance ultimately lead to salvation, as well as to the sombre world of Edgar Allan Poe, in which the raven becomes a mysterious messenger between the present, memory, and the unknown.

Here, the raven is therefore not merely an omen of darkness. It becomes a guardian and a bearer of good news — a creature able to pass through darkness and bring back light. It is precisely this ambiguity, the connection between unease and hope, magic and protection, that makes the raven such a powerful archetypal symbol.
