Edition: 2/6 and 3/6 – crystal

The artefact celebrates the beauty of the bicycle frame, its form and perfect proportions. Rony Plesl’s intention is to show how an everyday functional object such as a bicycle can also become a distinctive sculptural work of art.

The piece also refers to Marcel Duchamp, who elevated many ordinary objects to the status of artworks. The artist intentionally leaves visible traces of the casting process, giving the frame an organic, almost natural character. As a result, the bicycle frame can evoke the form of a plant or a climbing branch.
