Serpens draws on the timeless symbolism of the serpent, which has long represented wisdom, transformation, strength, and rebirth. Rony Plesl distills this ancient archetype into a pure, dynamic form in which the tension of movement is balanced by the serenity of a perfectly composed sculpture.

The glass sculpture is created using the unique Vitrum Vivum technology, enabling an object of exceptional optical depth and clarity. Depending on the intensity and direction of the light, the character of the work continuously changes, revealing a different presence with every viewing.

Serpens is a contemporary interpretation of one of humanity’s oldest symbols, while also showcasing the remarkable possibilities of modern Czech glassmaking.
